1          Rumby Willie          Owner: Wolfs Den                                                Velazquez J R

Has struck out in last two attempts in Graded Stakes company in the IL Derby Grade III and BG Stakes Grade I. Was purchased this March for $39.990. Goes out today for his 3 race for the new connections. The step down in company should help him step up his game, and shorten in the distance.

2          Silver Charm           Owner: Golden Oaks Stables                Albarado R J

Broke his Maiden here in April on the dirt course at today’s distance. Went to CD for his next race against Allowance company on the sod, and finished second. Back to the dirt today, and back to his old stomping ground. Looks to step it back up today.

3          Green With Envy   Owner: S Dot Farm                                   McCarthy T

Claimed for $10.000 in December. Has made to two starts for the new connections since the purchase. He raced at seven furlongs in an Allowance where he finished 3rd. Then recently raced at six furlongs in a $75.000 Claimer where he finished 3rd. The connections are hoping with the stretch out in distance, will improve his chances. Doubtful!

4          American Horror   Owner: D J C Racing Stables                  Leparoux J R

Comes off a win against NY Breds at AQU in the NY Stallion Series Times Square in April. This race was for a purse of $100.000 but only going 6 and ½ furlongs on the dirt course. He will have to stretch out a bit to get today’s distance. Could be a big challenge for him here. Has won at a route distance in the past, so maybe getting back to what he knows. Exotics!

5          Spirit Of The Night                       Owner: Tirstar Stables                Castellano A Jr

Finished second in the Tesio Stakes here in April at today’s distance. With a win over the track at this level, makes me very happy. The connections do go back with the 1 win out of 52 starts jockey, who won with this horse last time here. Gutsy move maybe on ownerships part, but don’t try to fix the wheel if it’s not broken!

6          Pride Of Simba       Owner: Golden Stables                           Talamo J

Sold on Cinco de Mayo for $90.000 and prior to that was sold for $150.000 in April. This horse has been moved around a lot lately since the AR Derby Grade I where he finished 14th. Never a good move in my eyes, as who knows how he is liking all the moving around. Makes his debut for the new connections. They are dropping him down a ton, and hopes to capture a piece of the pie!

7          Lincoln                      Owner: Serenity Stables                                    Bejarano R

Comes off a win by a head against Allowance company at a mile in March at PRX. Prior to that he was gelded and purchased for $45.000. Looking to get back into stakes company today with the new connections. He has 2 wins in 4 starts at route distances, and could be well placed here.

8          Mad And Powerlus Owner: The Sidley Stud                                    Pimentel J

Finished poorly in the Pima Classic at RIL in a $10.000 stakes race. Prior to that he won against $13.800 Allowance company at TUP going a mile. I think he may be out classed here!

9          Whiskey Town       Owner: Hippyheart                                  Bridgmohan S X

Finished off the board in both the Wood Memorial Grade I and the Tampa Bay Derby Grade II. I like that he is dropping a lot of class here, and he already knows the distance. He could certainly show up in this race.

10       Rhythm On The Pole Owner: Nj Vets                                     Evans C

Ran 10th in the FL Derby Grade I. Prior to that ran in the TUP Derby where he ran 3rd. Tough moving up in class here, and coming from post 10. Not my favorite here, and his jockey is 0 for 19.

Iwin picks: 5-1-9

The Tout picks: 1-4-9

Until next time this is Iwin signing off!
