Informa Saves Best Running for the End to Win His First Stakes Race

As the field entered the starting gate today at Gulfstream Park they were doing so in rainy weather which caused this turf course to come up yielding. The betting public was still behind the morning line favorite in Wealth Manager. As the gates swung open all the horses got away well but Dogs Silver Stackers took control in the first ¼ mile opening up almost a 3 length lead on A Fighter who was in 2nd and Wealth Manger in 3rd. At the half mile mark Dogs Silver Stackers had skipped even further away from the field and was hoping to take this field wire to wire. Wealth Manger had moved into 2nd and A Fighter was in 3rd. With 2 furlongs to go Dogs Silver Stacker was untested up front still leading by 4 lengths on his next closest competitor however it appeared as if Informa was winding up and about to unleash a major run but was it too late? The answer to that was no because in the final half furlong he blew by the long time leader Dogs Silver Stackers and won the race. Dogs Silver Stackers held on well for second and A Fighter moved his way into 3rd. That was an impressive win for Informa who can now call himself a stakes winner. Let’s take a look at the race breakdown and the payouts:
