Fillies & Mares Three Years Old

1 Broken Chat, trained by Estero Farms

Got over to the rail and raced 4 lengths from the lead down the backstretch. Moved off the rail as they entered the turn and started to make up ground on the leaders. Found another gear a furlong from the finish and pulled off to an easy two length win.

2 Ambiguity, trained by Blushing Meadows

Raced three wide around the first turn while taking up position near the back of the pack. Found herself 6 lengths off a modest pace as they moved down the backstretch. Was pushed wider as they rounded the far turn losing some ground. Rallied down the middle of the stretch and while never threatening the winner won the bob for the place.

3 Copper Asphalt, trained by Wolfs Den

Went straight to the lead and was able to get over before entering the first turn. Set a modest pace down the backstretch while being pressured by Princess Geek. Was no match when challenged by Broken Chat but continued to fight on gamely and was nosed out for the place.

4 Chai Mission, trained by Maxmillion

Raced at the back of the pack for the first 6 furlongs while saving ground. Rallied up the rail down the stretch and came up on the short end of a 3-way photo for the place.

Broken Chat got the dream trip and looked good while winning convincingly. Perhaps this victory will convince his stubborn trainer to keep her on the turf. Ambiguity was wide on both turns and should be very dangerous next out with a better trip. Copper Asphalt ran a nice race although she was able to get away with modest fractions.
