Saturday would end up being a good day for Fractious as the trainer picked up wins in both the TAM Derby, and here in The Gotham. In this race, it would be a horse that he picked up in private sales last September, named Plan To Wheel, who picked up the win.

This is going to be a great weekend for the KYD Chase. Three 50-point races are scheduled for Saturday, so when the dust settles after this weekend, we can really start to look at that KYD point-board to get an idea of who seems to be safe and who is going to need some late-March or April heroics.

Achilles Looks for Third Straight SA Handicap Win

On Saturday, this gelding looks to accomplish a very rare feat in this game, which would be to win a stake three years running. Mb Stables Showing Off His Proud Crown in Preps, Wins The Fountain Of Youth Stakes
When we said that the Risen Star, the first 50-point race of the season went perfectly for Mb Stables, we were probably getting ahead of ourselves. The trainer entered three for that race, Evergreen, Howl Of The Hound, and Proud Crown. Evergreen and Howl Of The Hound finished in a dead heat for that win. Perfect, for Mb!

Raj Action Packed Does it Again in The Diarmida
Raj Action Packed pulled off the win in The Diarmida, and with that victory he adds his name to a list of horses that only contains Bronze Sabre and Techfluence. That would be the horses that have won this race in two consecutive years, a fantastic achievement considering he topped the reigning Horse of The Year, Iron Nation, to do so.

Quest For Fame was cutting back on her distance for the Grade 3 Fox, as the five year old mare who had recently been a regular at a mile and a half was hoping that this could get her back to the winners circle. Many believed in her, as she would be named the post-time favorite, but was not among our picks.
