My Girl Makita Looks Formidable in QE II Challenge Cup
At KEE on Saturday, we will have the 16th running of the Grade 1 QE II Challenge Cup. This is a great opportunity for three year old turf females who do not want to run against older horses at this time. The $500.000 purse is plenty of incentive, and the gate is nearly full.

Juvenile Fillies Highlighted in The Frizette
The two year old racing at BEL has attracted a lot of interest from many different barns, and in the running of the Grade 1 Frizette we will get a chance to see some of the best young fillies in the game. The immediate prize for these twelve is the BC Juvenile Fillies which runs next month, but the long term plan is so much more than that.

Smokey Stover Looks to Holualou For Another Flower Bowl Win
It is time to put the final pieces of the puzzle together for the BC Fillies and Mares Turf, and the 18th running of the Flower Bowl will help us with that. The field is full as the BC hopes are strong, so the decrease in purse has not impacted that.

Last year, she won the BC Fillies and Mares Turf a month after winning this race, so trainer Our Athletes will be hoping that history repeats itself.

Bourbon Is Balanced and Unpredictable (Though I Try)
On Sunday, KEE will be running the 15th edition of the Bourbon, one of the best prep races for the BC Juvenile Turf. The two year olds that make up this field are lightly raced, as top opportunities to run long on the grass are not that great prior to this.

Strong Field Lined Up for Shadwell Turf Mile
The highlight of a big day at KEE is the 16th running of the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile, a race that brings together elite horses that may be targeting either the BC Mile or the BC Turf, though the former is the far more common option.

La Terrifiant Hopes to Be First Lady Winner Again
It is another big weekend of racing with plenty on the line for the BC, which is now just a month away. Among the races worth watching is the 16th running of the First Lady, a race with major implications for the Fillies and Mares Turf, and we’ll be looking to see if we can have a repeat winner.

Pocono Fashion Feels at Home in Cotillion Stakes
Pocono Fashion may have been bred in New York, but it is only fitting that she would win the biggest race of her career not too far away from the Pocono Mountains here at PRX in the 13th running of the Grade 1 Cotillion Stakes.
