The Black-Eyed Susan Stakes Presents a Big Challenge
In some circles, the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes will be called the second leg of the Triple Tiara, since it is run on PRK weekend. Within our virtual world, it is not a distinction we really make with the race, leaving it as simply a nice Grade 2 stake to win.

Looking to Make a Splash in The PIM Special
There will be plenty of good racing at PIM on Friday to get us warmed up for PRK day! Among the scheduled races is the 13th running of the Grade 3 PIM Special. This is a race was initially a Grade 1, and ran for a $500.000 purse.

Successful Turf Debut for Commanding Jane in Valentine Stakes
Prior to the Valentine Stakes, Commanding Jane had never run on the turf. After a strong work here on April 29th on the grass, trainer Serenity Stables was feeling good about his filly’s chances.

Dutty John Crow Wins The Peter Pan at 39/1
For some reason, the bettors were not high on Dutty John Crow, and made him a 39/1 longshot. We were higher on him, making him one of our picks after watching him finish second in the Coolmore Lexington, which was run in the mud.

Not Trippin Now Wins CD at 30/1
Despite looking like one of the better horses in the field, Not Trippin Now was not given much of a chance by the betting public, and went off at odds of 30/1. He didn’t surprise us though, as he was made one of our picks, and if you boxed our top three picks, you would have had that large trifecta.

Laffy Crack Sneaks By Ete Creek in La Troienne
A great Friday at CD served to create some excitement for the racing that we will see here on Saturday. Naples would win the KYO, and other trainers celebrated big wins as well, such as Night Rider Stables in the La Troienne, with Laffy Crack.

Looking for a Star in CD
Part of the excitement on the undercard of the KYD will be the CD, a long sprint for older horses with a generous $500.000 purse. This race will run for the 18th time, but it will be just the third time that it has been classified as a Grade 1.
