It wasn’t pretty for Captain Falcon six weeks ago when she ran in the FL Stakes- Susan, as she was soundly defeated by six lengths, and did not beat anyone. In a similar manner that we saw Reflex Action get redemption in the Demoiselle, Captain Falcon would do the same here in the My Dear.

Reflex Action Bounces Back from BC to Win The Demoiselle
Despite winning the Grade 1 Frizette in October, Reflex Action struggled a month later in the BC Juvenile Fillies, not beating anyone and losing by six lengths. While it can be discouraging to lose in that manner in the biggest of races, trainer D J C Racing Stables was not going to let it stop him.

Valedictory Stakes Is a Complete Toss Up
Sunday racing at WO will feature the fourteenth running of the Valedictory Stakes, which sends its participants that maximum mile and a half distance on the main track. The conditions for the race have been mostly constant through time, however the first edition of the race was an ungraded affair.

The FL Sire Stakes- My Dear Will See a Field of Seven
The FL Sire Stakes will be running on Saturday, and that will include the 19th running of the My Dear, which sends two year old fillies a little over a mile on the main track. Unfortunately, the $300.000 purse equals the low point for the race, an amount not seen since 2013, and down from $400.000 last year.

Purple Charger Not Worried About Outside Post in The Demoiselle
We turn the page of the calendar to December, and the first weekend of the month will see some great racing at the Big A. Part of that schedule will be the 19th running of The Demoiselle, a KYO- point paying race that has attracted seven horses that were a part of the BC festivities at SA last month. They will take on five others in a full field that has the making of a great race.

Fractious Gets a 1-2 Finish in KY Jockey Club
The KY Jockey Club will go down as a great race for Fractious, as the trainer not only had a 1-2 finish in the race, but his two horses were clearly the class of the field in the race. We didn’t have either one of them on top, but both were among our picks, making it quite a surprise that each of them went off with double digit odds.

Seabiscuit Handicap Draws a Field of Ten
This Saturday at DMR, the top race of the day will be the 20th running of the Seabiscuit Handicap, and there will be ten horses heading to post to try and win a race that has seen the likes of Barbarino and Five Spirits win in the past. The race had a higher purse back in the day, so it may have drawn stronger fields overall.
