Competitive Field Lined Up for The Woodward
A strong field of nine will be headed to the starting gate for what is listed by the game as being just the sixth running of the Grade 1 Woodward. The race debut in 2005, but supposedly took a long hiatus between 2006 and 2020 before reappearing in 2021 to be won by Splash Mountain.

Individuation And Crack Dab Headline Lukas Classic
The field may not be large for the Lukas Classic, but this Grade 2 from CD will provide us some pretty big names, including both Individuation and Crack Dab. Altogether, there are only six horses going to post, but this has never been a race to draw a large field even with it having appealing conditions.

Siouxbiscuit Prevails in a Photo Finish in Dogwood
Over the course of her three year old campaign, Siouxbiscuit has been highly productive, but a series of close calls at the wire has likely left Mb Stables thinking that the filly could have done so much more. She’s been a little snake-bit, and her last race where she missed the headbob at the wire in the Grade 1 Test is a good example of that.

Wyatt Langmore Is Too Much for His Harrods Creek Competition
The Harrods Creek ran for the third time on Saturday, with a field of ten looking to pick up the winners portion of the $300.000 purse. Getting the upper hand here would be the Fractious- trained Wyatt Langmore, a gelding by Count The Stars that the trainer picked up with a $25.000 claim in February.

From The Gate, At The Gates Is Dominant in Bourbon Trail
When we last saw At The Gates, he struggled mightily in the slop at the Travers. Surely, he was a better horse than that, as his prior race on a sloppy track, coming here at CD, was also very poor. There was no reason to worry about rain this time around, as the track was fast, and the opportunity was there for At The Gates to redeem himself.

Wavy Girl Runs Away With Cotillion
Every year, the Cotillion can be counted on for having a great field that will send several runners to the BC Distaff. That won’t be any different this year, and winning the race can be a great way to make a statement that you should be one of the favorites for that race. Holding that distinction will be Wavy Girl, who was the post time favorite going in.

Retaliate Furthers His BC Case with Gallant Bob Stakes Win
The BC Sprint is in six weeks, and it is safe to say that we have our favorite for the race. That would be Retaliate, who came into the Gallant Bob Stakes off of wins in both the Grade 1 Crosby and the Grade 1 Jerkens Memorial Stakes, which would be enough to make him one of the favorites on that basis.

Mamba Has Little Trouble in Winning PRX Dirt Mile
Over his career, Mamba has been a successful horse that has finished in the money for most of his races, but actually winning a race had not happened much. In his prior start, he would win for only the second time in 16 starts, making us wonder if he could make it two in a row.

Seven Will Be at the Gates for The Bourbon Trail
The Bourbon Trail is a race for three year olds that want to go long, sending them almost a mile and a quarter around the main track here at CD. It’s a newer event on the schedule, having first appeared in 2021 when it ran for a $275.000 purse, making it a lot like the Harrods Creek in that respect.

Timber Snake Is Poised to Step Up in Harrods Creek
It’s time now to take a look at The Harrods Creek, which is one of the newer additions to the schedule at CD. The race runs for the third time, debuting in 2021 for a $275.000 purse where it was won by Mr Frost. We see an increase to the purse level this year, so perhaps an official graded designation will be in the future for this race.
