Anemoi Looks to Bring the Pain in Sycamore
It’s Friday the 13th, and five horses will be spending the day going a full mile and a half around the KEE turf course for the 19th running of the Grade 3 Sycamore. It’s a race that last year saw the purse get increased to $300.000 after traditionally being anywhere between $100.000 and $150.000.

Stinky Rene Runs Swiftly In Stretch To Capture Taylor Stakes
It’s almost hard to believe that just two months ago at the Beverly D, I was looking at that race and saw Stinky Rene has being an unlikely candidate to win. Something has happened with this filly, and whatever it is that TwinTowersRacing figured out to get her to finally show the ability that he always knew that she had, it has translated into victories.

Demanding Commander Painlessly Prevails in First Lady
You know it’s a fantastic day of virtual racing when a $750.000 Grade 1 isn’t big enough to get into an eight-race Pick ’em! That’s because it was not a “win and you’re in” race for the BC, but in spite of that, you can count on several horses from this race running in the BC at SA next month. Demanding Commander was not one of them in 2022 despite having a good season that saw her win close to $700.000.

Purple Charger Opens Up And Hangs On To Win Alcibiades
In July, Fractious purchased Purple Charger for $550.000 a few weeks after winning the Astoria, and the investment is already paying off. The filly had look strong in her first two races for Fractious, winning the Schuylerville, but now a much greater purse would await her in the Alcibiades.

Let Me Explain Cruises By Rivals In Stretch To Win Jessamine
Let Me Explain may have already been BC bound, but if there was any doubts about that, they were erased as this impressive two year old filly by People Pleaser picked up her fourth consecutive win in what was her first race going long. Safe to say, that went very well, and she didn’t look to run this in the same manner as she has become accustomed to early in her career.

Taylor Stakes Looks Stinky and Untidy
On Sunday at WO, a field of seven fillies and mares will be heading to the starting gate for the 18th running of the Taylor Stakes, and one of them will be hoping that it ends in the same manner that last year’s did. The race is a ten furlong stake on the turf, with a generous $750.000 purse up for grabs amongst the top four finishers.

Strong Field to Run in First Lady
On Saturday at KEE, the 19th running of the First Lady will be taking place, and a field of eleven will heading to the starting gate in hopes of collecting the winners share of the $750.000 purse that is offered. That purse level was new to the race in 2022, and was a large increase of $350.000 from where it had been previously.

Big Purse and a BC Spot at Stake in Alcibiades
The Grade 1 Alcibiades is about as good as it can get for two year old fillies, as the race offers a generous $600.000 purse and the coveted ticket to the BC Juvenile Fillies. That purse is an increase of $100.000 from last year, and last year saw a similar increase from 2021, so the status of this race is quite impressive, indeed.

Strong Field in Jessamine Needs No Explanation
The eyes of the virtual racing world will be on KEE on Friday, with multiple “win and you’re in” races being held for the BC. One of them is the Jessamine, which is a Grade 2 race for two year old fillies on the turf, therefore sending it’s winner to the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Numbskull Wisely Captures The Pilgrim
The gate was full for the running of the Grade 2 Pilgrim as trainers took their shot at securing the automatic spot into the BC Juvenile Turf that is given to the race winner. Picking up that honor would be Numbskull, but his trainer was certainly not that when he decided to geld him just a couple weeks ago.
