  • The Fayette Ends in a Dead Heat

There is no denying that Figured The Storm has figured out how to be a great race horse this year, coming into The Fayette with five wins in ten starts as a four year old. Make that six of eleven, but he will share that win First Sargeant, who had commanded two wins in eight starts in 2022 before this race.

  • Venture In Belief Holds Off Scalp to Win Valley View

While the Valley View seemed to be an evenly matched race on paper, it would end up as a two horse race at the end. Both Venture In Belief and Scalp would be the class of the field and would have a good battle amongst themselves before Venture In Belief prevailed at the wire by a beck for Night Rider Stables.

  • Six Look for a Spark in Twilight Derby

A field of six three year olds will be heading to the starting gate for the 17th running of the Twilight Derby, going nine furlongs on the turf course. The details of this race have been very consistent over those years as well. Past winners include Xray Eyes, Seven Years, and Winter Solstice.

  • Ten To Do Combat in This Year’s Fayette

Last year, one of the best horses in the game, Combat Wombat, made an appearance in the Fayette and ended up getting the win. This year, we might not have a horse of that caliber going to post, but we still end up with a very good field of ten horses looking to take home the winner’s share of the largest purse ever offered by the race.

  • Time For A Tour Of The Valley View

On Friday at KEE, a field of six fillies will be going to post for the 17th running of the Valley View and they will get a chance to enjoy the largest purse that has ever been offered by the race. In the previous sixteen editions, the purse was either $125.000 or $150.000, making this year’s amount double the prior high.

  • Cascade King Reigns Over The Hill Prince

We would have ourselves a tight finish at the wire in The Hill Prince, and after examining the photo, it would be Cascade King earning the win for Nakamura Stables marking the second win in a row for the trainer. Unfortunately for him, Cascade King will be unable to follow the same script as Nevada Silver did last year as that one won both the Hill Prince and the BC Mile.

  • Maggie Greene Wins The Noble Damsel Again

She’s done it again! Maggie Greene stepped up on Saturday and won the Grade 3 Noble Damsel for the second consecutive year in what was the best performance for this well accomplished veteran mare since May.

  • Maggie Greene Is Set to Defend Her Noble Damsel Crown

Maggie Greene returns to action this Saturday as she defends her title in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel. This race will for the 20th time, but it’s the first time that it takes place at AQU. Over the years, it has had a consistent purse level of being somewhere between $100.000 and $200.000, and it has always been a Grade 3.

  • Will The Hill Prince Produce Another BC Winner?

This Saturday, the 18th running of The Hill Prince will be taking place, and it is the latest stake to be moving from BEL to AQU this fall. It is a nine furlong event on the inner turf, and we will get to see a field of eight take part in it.

  • The Sands Point Win Should Give Lady Hilltopper More Respect

In The Sands Point, seven three year old fillies went to post, and grabbing the win would be Lady Hilltopper, a horse that never seems to get any respect at the betting window. Ever since arriving at Black N Gold Stable, she has had double digit odds, spanning six races. She’s now won four of them.
