Roman Rage Battles Along Rail to Win The Jaipur
Roman Rage is certainly no stranger to the race track, as he would be making the 58th start of his career in the Grade 1 Jaipur, and recently he has shown the trend of being the type of horse that shows up when the races are the biggest. Running in this race on BEL day would certainly qualify as being that type of race, and the eight year old gelding would, once again, run his best and this time it results in a victory.

Perfectly Pink Gets a Perfect Ten in The NY
All eight of the horses in the NY were more than capable of winning the race. Some may have been a little more known then others, but this had the makings of a great race. It was certainly not a surprise that the red hot Perfectly Pink was the winner, but the fact that she cruised to a three to four length victory was an eye opener.

It’s going to be a great weekend at BEL, but all of the excitement is not on Saturday! Ginger Tiara Sets New Stake Record in The Regret
Coming into The Regret, Ginger Tiara did seem as though she was one of the better horses in the field, but maybe not the one to beat. Coming off a very close second place finish three weeks ago at a mile and a half in the Santa Barbara, she was hoping to continue that momentum here.

Directors Chair Has The Resume, But Is She The Regret Favorite?
As a part of the CD card this Saturday, we will have the 19th running of The Regret, but there is nothing to regret over the purse level. The $200.000 is an increase of $75.000 on the amount that it ran for last year, and for a race that had been running at $100.000 for a while, it is good to see the change.

Proud Eights Does It Again In The Gamely Stakes
Last year, Proud Eights would top a field of seven in The Gamely Stakes. She would be back for more this time around, hoping to become the second horse to win the stake two times. Miz Liz was the one who did before, coming in 2010 and 2011.

Sports Page Heating Up, Wins Gold Cup
Is Sports Page finally finding that level of consistency that could make him one of the greats in the game? At times, we have seen it, but not often enough. In 2022, he has gotten off to a good start, winning an optional claimer and running second in the OP Handicap.

King Ranch Reigns In Wild Daytona Stakes Finish
It would be a thrilling finish at the Daytona Stakes as eight of the eleven horses in the field finished within a length of each other at the wire. This includes an exceptionally tight five way photo for win, and when the dust settled, it would be King Ranch getting the headbob over Shelbags to give trainer South Shore Stables their first win in the race.
