BC Sprint Spot on The Line in Crosby Stakes

With the BC Sprint now just a little more than three months away, it’s time for a “win and you’re in” race here in the Grade 1 Crosby Stakes. This race first appeared on the schedule in 2004, and as you would expect, it has been run every year since than with the likes of Alpha Ultimo, Shoot Skyhigh, and Z One Chance (twice) visiting the winner’s circle at the end.

No TC Winners, But Haskell Field Still Strong

With the TC races done with, it will be interesting to see where many of the top three year olds choose to race over the summer months. The Haskell is one of those great options, and while we will not see anyone who won a TC race this year in this race, there are plenty in this who had great runs in those races.

Wasted Away Headlines the Field in CCA Oaks

Wasted Away looks to continue her strong three year old campaign on Saturday in the 21st running of the Grade 1 CCA Oaks, a race that offers a $500.000 purse. We’ve seen on greats win this race in the past, such as Mrs Bombastic and Naples, and now we will see if the reigning KYO winner can get the win here at the “Graveyard of Favorites”.

Impressive Victory for Poetic Panther in Diana

There was so much to like about the running of the Diana given the quality of horses that were taking part in it. It would take a field of this high caliber for a filly like Poetic Panther to go off as a 13/1 longshot despite riding a three race winning streak. That streak is now at four, after what is truly the biggest victory of her career up to this point.

The Diana Isn’t a BC Race But It Very Much Seems Like It

It’s the first Saturday of the SAR meet, and wow, do we have a treat! The Grade 1 Diana is taking place and the horses that are taking part are very impressive. This is not a place for up and comers, as the entrant with the lowest career earnings has still made about $500.000. La Terrifiant is here, and so to is Painville. You can make anyone in here a headliner.
