The field may not be large for the Lukas Classic, but this Grade 2 from CD will provide us some pretty big names, including both Individuation and Crack Dab. Altogether, there are only six horses going to post, but this has never been a race to draw a large field even with it having appealing conditions.

Retaliate Furthers His BC Case with Gallant Bob Stakes Win
The BC Sprint is in six weeks, and it is safe to say that we have our favorite for the race. That would be Retaliate, who came into the Gallant Bob Stakes off of wins in both the Grade 1 Crosby and the Grade 1 Jerkens Memorial Stakes, which would be enough to make him one of the favorites on that basis.
Retaliate Looks to Stay Scorching Hot in Gallant Bob
There’s plenty of incentive for sprinters to make their way to PRX on Saturday, as the 17th running of the Gallant Bob Stakes takes place. This race has not always had the prestige as it now does, beginning as an ungraded race for a $150.000 purse. That is something that would change quickly, and it would officially become a graded race in 2013.

Killer Instinct Makes Case to Be BC Turf Favorite in KD Turf Cup
Last month at CNL, Killer Instinct would make his turf debut in the Grade 1 AP Million in what was his 24th career start. That’s a tough way to do it, but the Fire N Fury colt would open eyes when he nearly pulled it off before settling for second in a photo finish. Naturally, off of that he would another chance on the grass and that would come here for a $1,000.000 purse in the KD Turf Cup.
Zalinda Does One Better in This Year’s Canadian Stakes
Last year, Zalinda appeared in the Canadian Stakes and barely missed out on the win, losing by a nose at the wire. Threshold’s stable star would return here to try and finish the job, and she seemed like one of the top horses in a very balanced field.
