Quality Art Sets a Stake Record in Alysheba Victory

Last year on Derby Day, Quality Art picked up a win in the Knicks Go for his first stake win. Since then, he has only continued to do more and more on the track and even if he wasn’t winning the Grade 1’s that he was running in, he was quite often within a length of the winner and cashing a check.

Spring Street Comes from Way Back to Win Eight Belles

Everything seemed to be going great for Spring Street after she broke her maiden. She ran well in both the Forward Gal and the Honeybee, sending her on the path to potentially run in another race later on the card here on Friday at CD. Several That Just Missed Out on KYO Head to Eight Belles

The Eight Bellies is a good example of a race that has grown through time. When it first appeared on the schedule, it was a Grade 3, but only offered a $100.000 purse. It stayed around that level for around a decade before gradually increasing to $300.000. Then, last year, it would get another increase, up to its current level of $500.000, making it one of the highlights of KYO day on Friday.

Here, we will look at the Alysheba, which is for older horses on the main track, taking them a little more than a mile.
