We are now only a month away from the KYD, and there are only four races remaining that will pay those valuable points to get into the big race. Three of them are occurring on Saturday, and all of these races pay 100 points for their winner. Next week, there is a 20 point race just in case anyone needs to throw a Hail Mary at the end.

Weight Allowances of Threes In Shakertown May Be Tough to Overcome
On Saturday at KEE, we will get a look at a field of ten turf sprinters going to post for the 20th running of the Shakertown. The race was initially a Grade 3 with modest beginnings, having been run for just $100.000. It stayed at that level for over a decade, before eventually getting a bump to $200.000 in 2016 when it was upgraded to a Grade 2.
