A field of six three year olds will be heading to the starting gate for the 17th running of the Twilight Derby, going nine furlongs on the turf course. The details of this race have been very consistent over those years as well. Past winners include Xray Eyes, Seven Years, and Winter Solstice.

Ten To Do Combat in This Year’s Fayette
Last year, one of the best horses in the game, Combat Wombat, made an appearance in the Fayette and ended up getting the win. This year, we might not have a horse of that caliber going to post, but we still end up with a very good field of ten horses looking to take home the winner’s share of the largest purse ever offered by the race.

Cascade King Reigns Over The Hill Prince
We would have ourselves a tight finish at the wire in The Hill Prince, and after examining the photo, it would be Cascade King earning the win for Nakamura Stables marking the second win in a row for the trainer. Unfortunately for him, Cascade King will be unable to follow the same script as Nevada Silver did last year as that one won both the Hill Prince and the BC Mile.
