Houseofidentity Brings Home Lukas Stakes

In a well balanced field of horses that know how to either win or hit the board in most of their races, it was tough to pick a winner for the Grade 2 Lukas Stakes. Any of these fillies and mares had the ability to rise to the occasion and grab the win, so it was not a surprise that only three lengths separated first from last at the end.

Lukas Stakes Has No Clear Favorite

Saturday’s racing at SA includes multiple races of interest, and that includes the running of the $200.000 Lukas Stakes, which is a long sprint on the dirt for older females. Formerly known as the Monica Handicap or the Santa Monica Stakes, the race has been run every year since 2005.
