One Last Punch Line Cruises to Louisville Win
Sometimes, as much as one horse might seem to be the class of the field in a race, things never work out that way. On Saturday in the Louisville, most the wagering money went to Life Is Beautiful, and for very good reason. However, we run these races for a reason, and it would be a horse that had run most of his races in 2024 at TUP to steal the show.
Spring Street Shows Up and Wins The Vagrancy Handicap
The question about Spring Street coming into the Vagrancy Handicap wasn’t whether or not she was capable of winning the race, as certainly she was. Seven Head to The Gate for The Vagrancy Handicap
It’s time to take a look at the Grade 3 Vagrancy Handicap, which is a sprint for older females that runs for the 20th time. This is traditionally a race at BEL, but like others, it runs at the Big A this year. Purses for the race have historically ranged between $150.000 and $200.000 over the last two decades, so not much has changed here other than the location of the race.

Riggins Hopes Life Is Beautiful in The Louisville
On Saturday at CD, we will have the 22nd running of the Louisville, which is a Grade 3 for older turf horses that like to run for a long time. The race began with a $100.000 purse and was at that point or similar until 2022 when it would reach $200.000. It’s present level of $250.000 will be the highest that has ever been at stake for the race.
