The Ghostzapper was a wide open race on paper at least, and it was one that The Sidley Stud really wanted to win as the trainer entered three into the race. He would get what he sought to do, as Distant Breeze came away with a two length win at odds of 7/1.

Tom Kha Gai Is Beautiful In San Luis Rey Win
Life Is Beautiful seemed as though he would be a strong favorite for the San Luis Rey Stakes, and that is exactly how it would play out on the odds board. Nothing Crazy in Face The Lunatic’s KY Cup Classic Win
With the field being as strong as it was for the KY Cup Classic, it could be understood that others would attract more attention than Face The Lunatic. That said, it was a surprise to see him go off as an 11/1 longshot for the race.
It Will Be Tough to Stop Life Is Beautiful in San Luis Rey Stakes
The starting gate for the San Luis Rey Stakes will be full at SA on Saturday, as twelve horses are set to run the maximum distance of a mile and a half on the turf. This is the 20th time that the race has been run in our virtual world, debuting as a Grade 2 in 2006 before it’s downgrade to a Grade 3 in 2020.
Big Names Collide in KY Cup Classic
The field is set for Saturday’s running of the KY Cup Classic, and there are some very big names that will be taking part in it. It’s a $300.000 Grade 3 that debuted in 2006, but has not been run every year and this is just the tenth edition of the race. The race was a Grade 2 from 2006 through 2011, but then did not appear again until 2018, when it was a small ungraded race running for $100.000.
