One of the great things about two year old stakes races in July is their unpredictable nature while getting to know horses that we will likely be hearing about for a long time. The Sanford is one of those races, and the race did seem to be up for grabs.

The first Sunday of the SAR meet will feature the 13th running of the Quick Call, which is a quick race on the turf, just five and a half furlongs. A full field of twelve will be going to post for what is the highest purse ever offered by the race, at $175.000.

Unlike the DEL Handicap, the IND Oaks did not really have that one horse that stood out. Most seemed to have a good shot at taking home the victory while having one thing about them that may have caused a little concern about their chances.
