Nevada Silver Takes The Hill Prince Crown

Last month in the Grade 3 Saranac up at SAR, Nevada Silver struck gold by going wire to wire in the race for his first graded stake win. It was a close finish, and one of the horses he narrowly defeated was Flesh Of My Flesh. These two would have a rematch, and once again it would be Nevada Silver pulling off of the win.

Looking for Future Gold in Hendrie Stakes

It might seem late for the Hendrie Stakes, as this race which is normally run in June will be going to post in 2021 here in late October! It’s $150.000 purse has been restored this year after running for $25.000 less for the four previous years. As we often see in a race like this, there is some good variation in the paths that have been taken by the horses leading into the race.

Eights Over Nines In Waya

Proud Eights has had a strong career, and this year was impressive for her with two Grade 1 wins over the spring and then a third such victory in August. Estero Farms enjoyed what he had, but about two weeks ago, it was time to sell her and Mb Stables stepped up, knowing she’d be a great addition to his already stacked stable.

Number Nine Looks to Copy Her Waya Win

We’ll have an eight and a nine in the gate, but only five actually going to the post for the 15th running of the Grade 3 Waya. The race sends older females a total of eleven furlongs (one less than any prior year) along the inner turf and sees its purse double from last year.
