Small Field for Santa Barbara Stakes

A small field of four will be taking part in the $100.000 Santa Barbara Stakes at SA, a race that runs for the 19th time, but lost it’s graded designation in 2023. It has also seen a gradual purse drop from the $200.000 that it debuted with back in 2005 when it was a Grade 2.

Hawaiian Blaze Easily Wins Star Shoots

There was some rain that fell at WO for the days card, and it would leave the track only listed as good for the running of the Star Shoots. That would not be a problem for Hawaiian Blaze, who jumped out to the lead and became another wire to wire winner on the day.
