Likely Exchange Stakes Fills at Last Minute, Draws Five
For a while, it looked like the Likely Exchange Stakes was not going to fill, but in the end we would get our field of five. That means that this race will run for just the fifth time in its history.
Balanced Field of Six in The Pasco Stakes
The Pasco Stakes is a seven furlong race, much like it’s companion race for fillies, the Gasparilla Stakes. This race was first contested back in 2005 for a smaller purse, and today will run for $150.000, which is the most offered by the race during that stretch of time.
Let’s Get Back into It with The Gasparilla Stakes
It’s time to start another year of coverage, and the first race on my 2025 schedule will be the 21st running of The Gasparilla Stakes down at TAM. This is a seven furlong race for three year old fillies on the main track, and the $150.000 offered is a new high for the race, up $25.000 from where it had been previously.
Sune Lee Stretches Out to Win Untapable
The Untapable was one of those races where the field looked balanced, and there were no clear favorites. That could be seen with the ending odds of the horses, so who would it be that would step up and get the win and the KYO points that went with it?
Ref You Def Makes Noise in Gun Runner
Valuable points for the KYD were on the line in the Gun Runner, and twelve horses were looking to grab the win, then hope to continue the perfect streak of the Gun Runner winner actually making the KYD. That race is down the road, but now we have that winner, and it would be a longshot from Night Rider Stables in Ref You Def.
Untapable Is Up for Grabs
The starting gate will be full on Saturday as twelve fillies hope to grab some valuable KYO points in the fourth running of the Untapable. The purse of $100.000 is nice as well, and a short term gain for a potential longer term goal.
