At seven years of age, Junior was one of the senior horses in the field, and would be making the 47th start of his career. Over that period, he has won nine times and with most of those happening at high level tracks, he’s earned quite a bit. He had won a stake before, but in The Bet On Sunshine, he would pick up the signature win of his career.

Late Move Gives Komodo G CC Jewel Win

In the CC Jewel, most of the horses in the field had plenty of experience. Then, there was Komodo G, a Centerpiece colt that had only made two starts in his career. Both were in maiden claimers, making him just as eligible as anyone else in the field. On Saturday, this youngster pulled off the win, at odds of 21/1 for trainer Acber Farms.

One Man Show Makes CC Canterbury a One-Horse Show

Coming into the CC Canterbury, One Man Show was hot, winning three of his last five as he and trainer Spankys Barn hope to rediscover the form that was able to get the gelding into the BC Turf Sprint back in 2020. That will take more than just winning this race, but it could serve as another step forward to getting back there.
