Shark Waters Cuts Back Just Fine, Wins Eddie D Stakes
For his entire career, even including his debut race, Shark Waters has run at least a mile. However, his last two races did not go particularly well, and this would lead to his trainer, Fractious, deciding to do something different with the gelding. In the Eddie D Stakes, he would only go six and a half furlongs, and it would prove to be the right call.

You’re Kidding? Well Done Wins The Hirsch Turf Classic
There was plenty of reason to think that Well Done would rebound well from a tough outing in his prior race, the Nashville Derby. However, this was still the Hirsch Turf Classic, and with the likes of King Que Niagra, Fanatical Empire, and Ziccio (among others) in the field, Well Done needed to do more than just rebound.
Chalk Up Another Woodward Win for Spankersville
Last year, Spankersville handled what was a muddy track at AQU, and won the Woodward by two lengths, after having won the JC Gold Cup the race prior. This time around, the track would be dry but that would be just about all that was different in the race, as Spankersville once again took care of business.
