As the calendar turns to August, an entertaining slate of stakes racing are sure to entertain us all month. On Friday, one of the first such races is the fifth running of the SAR Oaks, a long turf event for three year old fillies. Retaliate Gives Us Another Massive Longshot Winner in Crosby Stakes
An entertaining day at DMR was highlighted by the running of the Crosby Stakes on Saturday, a race that would send a horse directly to the BC Sprint just as long as their trainer wanted them there. It was a race that featured the usual favorites of the betting public, as well as some decent prices along the way. Then, there were a couple horses in the field that hardly got any action at all.

It was not a nice day out at many tracks across the northeast, and MTH was right in the thick of the bad weather on this day.
