Threshold Hopes Bronze Bomber Is Golden in Arlington Stakes

Six horses have made their way to CD for Saturday’s running of the Arlington Stakes, which is a turf event that runs a little more than a mile. This race will be remembered more for being run at AP, being contested there from 2005 until 2021. The closure of that track did not mean the end of the race, as it was moved here to CD last year.

The racing will go on this weekend, but before I get into my first preview for the weekend, I want to say thank you to Mike La Rosa for giving me the opportunity to write for the SRF and for everything else he did for me and for the game. It is something that cannot be said enough, and I will forever be grateful for it. We will celebrate his legacy on Thursday, as well as the 20th anniversary of the game, and those two things certainly go hand in hand. Thank you, Mike.

Zalinda Shows Why She Was the Favorite in The Gamely Stakes

Heading into the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes, it did seem as though Zalinda was the horse to beat. The seven year old mare had been consistently finishing in the money at the graded level even if they were not all victories. This would make her our selection as well as the pick of the bettors as she was made the post time favorite.
