Small Field for Santa Barbara Stakes

A small field of four will be taking part in the $100.000 Santa Barbara Stakes at SA, a race that runs for the 19th time, but lost it’s graded designation in 2023. It has also seen a gradual purse drop from the $200.000 that it debuted with back in 2005 when it was a Grade 2.

Good Mix of Horses in Runhappy

This Saturday, we will have a field of eleven heading to the starting gate for the seventh edition of the Grade 3 Runhappy at AQU. The race has typically taken part at BEL, but we are at that point of the year again where we will be talking about those races being moved to the Big A.

Bad Debt Pays Off in The KYD

The 2024 KYD is behind us, and in it we would something that has only been accomplished once before in the race, and that was by the first ever winner: Fuji Ninja in 2004. That is the only other time, ever, that we have officially had a winner go wire to wire. Now, Bad Debt accomplishes the same feat with an impressive victory for Hippyheart.

Dayton Prevails in Stretch to Win CD

The rain that fell at CD on Saturday led to several horses being scratched, including the horse that we picked to win: Categorical Maybe. In fact, two of our top four picks were among the horses that would not be sent to the starting gate as planned. Having no issue with the elements was Dayton, who is trained by Pan Farms.
