Excoriator Captures The Holy Bull

With the KYD three months away, we all want to start naming favorites for the big race. It’s still too early to do that in my opinion, but after the running of the Holy Bull, Excoriator has proven that his name should be in the conversation as well. The State Police colt came into the race having won the San Vicente last month and utilized a stalking trip here to win the Holy Bull.

As February begins, we are now three months away from the KYD, but we are still a long way away from knowing who the field will be for the big race. Twenty valuable points will be at stake here, and we’re just two weeks away now from the first fifty point race. The Holy Bull first appeared on the schedule in 2004, but was only run for a $100.000 purse

Checking Out The Bayakoa

Just a few days after being named 2023 Horse Of The Year, Matamata will be heading to the starting gate to kick off her five year old season against eleven rivals at OP. The race is the Grade 3 Bayakoa, which first appeared on our schedule in 2015.
