Gran Z Rides the Rail to Win BC Dirt Mile

Gran Z came into the BC Dirt Mile looking like one of the best horses in the field with wins in two of his prior four races. What was particularly appealing about him here though is that he was well rested for the race, having a little more than two months off. That would be part of the reason that he was made our pick, and he would deliver with a two length victory.

Nothing Lazy About Shoo Fly’s BC Juvenile Win

Nine months ago, a horse named Rain Shower went to post at TUP for a new trainer, Lazy Eye. They had operated a virtual stable before, and had spent a lot of time in their preparations prior to their first race. On Saturday, there were no rain showers and nothing to dampen the parade for Lazy Eye, as he quickly would become a BC winning trainer.

The Future Is On Display In The BC Juvenile

The biggest race of the two year old season is upon us, as the 20th edition of the BC Juvenile takes place at KEE. In addition to taking home the winner’s share of the $2,000.000 purse, and the KYD points that the race offers, the winner of the BC Juvenile will be seen as the first true favorite for the KYD itself.
