Drinkin Creepin continued his winning ways on Saturday by capturing the Grade 3 Troy, making him 7-for-7 on the year. He’s unquestionably the best turf sprinter in the game, and while “horse of the year” is not likely to go to a turf sprinter, let’s give him his due. Drinkin Creepin Back in Action in The Troy
Plenty is on the line Saturday for turf sprinters as 19th running of the Troy takes place at SAR. This race first appeared on the schedule in 2006 as a simple $65.000 ungraded race and has grown in stature since. It is now a Grade 3, getting that designation in 2018, and the $300.000 purse level was first reached in 2022.
