Older handicap horses will be on tap for what I will consider to be my last write-up for a while.  Health issues have caused the ol’ COZMAN to put his keyboard off to the side for a while but nothing like catching a great race like the 2016 Suburban Hcp (GI) as a “bye for now” race.

Let’s go ahead and put Clouseau in the top spot despite MB Stables having a three-headed monster in here to contend with.  When last seen on the track in the Met Mile (GI) they grey gelding just missed in a quick time while closing very quickly.  The extra distance may be just what he needs to get back to the winner’s circle.

We can’t ignore the monster stable so let’s give Make A Fortune the second spot here.  He was fourth in the Eclipse (GII) at WO but he is the kind of horse that is always around and knows how to find the winner’s circle as well.  He did win here back in Nov while facing OptAlw horses that day.

I’ll give Port On The Horizon the third spot and he could improve from that spot.  He hasn’t won since SSM Day back in Jan but has been close while facing some tough company.  He certainly knows how to get the job done and may just sneak up at a price to take the win.
