It isn’t often that we get “re-matches” here at HRP… just doesn’t work out… today, the top five finishers from the huge Pegasus at GP come back to do battle, yet again, which just adds to the intrigue of the New Orleans Classic (GII).  The mile and an eighth distance is also a repeat so it’s hard to color too far outside the lines… I think Spankersville is running about as well as anything in the game right now, so let’s give him the shout-out to repeat today.  He’s won three of this last four, with the one off-the-board finish being in the BC Classic (GI).  That was a big run in Hallandale, last out, so… more of the same for me.  In any other give race, I’d take Quiet Return, and he’s my second choice here… think about this… he had one win last season, just one… and put $4,090.000 in the bank – HUGE!  He’s a couple lengths from numbers that haven’t been seen since the early 2000’s.  He should get part of this, for sure.  I’ll take Rudy Is With Me with the third selection, but I’m iffy on him… I still think sprinting is his game, and he did have the lead in the PWC, only to get run down… today?  Let’s see.  A great race, indeed… let’s get a good spot to watch this one!
