Nile Warrior wins The Dominion Day Stakes

Nile Warrior ran on strongly from mid pack to win The Dominion Day Stakes by a length passing the long time leader Elusive Image with Valar Morghulis running on to take third.

Nile Warrior wins The Dominion Day Stakes mid pack early improved position making good headway down the home stretch to take the lead in the final furlong going on to win by a length from Elusive Image with Valar Morghulis only a nose further back in third. The winner is owned by Canadian Racing.

How they ran.

Nile Warrior ran on from five lengths off the pace to win The Dominion Day Stakes by a length.

Elusive Image tried to go post to wire being three lengths clear of the field in the home stretch could not hold the finishing speed of the winner to finish second.

Valar Morghulis broke in fifth ran on to finish third a length off the winner.

Royal Prodigy settled near the rear eight lengths off the pace closing at the finish to finish fourth just over a length off the winner.

War Scent raced nine lengths off the pace in seventh made some headway past beaten horses to finish fifth beaten by three lengths.

Bjorn And Bread broke in second and settled two leads behind the leader then weakened to finish sixth beaten by eight lengths.

Northern Charger never at the races started at the back of the field past one beaten horse to finish seventh.

Two Smoking Barrels settled in third for the first four furlong then just weakened to finish last of the eight runners.
