1 1/8 Mile Turf Stake Purse $300.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st The Laffin Sniper, trained by Diablo Diablo
This horse showed some rapid improvement when chasing home Decibel in the Commonwealth Derby and despite his works going backwards since then his track form improved again today. Off the solid early pace he picked them up nicely and went on for a game half length win and by far his best performance of the year.

2nd City Ball Drop, trained by Pan Farms
This horse has really grown a leg since being switched to turf which makes you wonder why his experienced trainer didnt do it sooner. Onto the pace from his wide draw he kept pulling out extra to fight off everyone but the eventual winner.

3rd Decibel, trained by Threshold
Beat the winner in the Commonwealth Derby but despite what looked the perfect trip couldnt repeat that today.

4th Funny One, trained by Mb Stables
As expected the two wide drawn horses vied for the early lead and whilst this one gave way first he still kept on to hold fourth place.
