1 1/8 Mile Turf Stake Purse $300.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Decibel, trained by Threshold
The biggest question about this race for the four year old was whether he could win under top weight. Aided by the perfect trip just behind the two leaders on the rail, he pushed through when the gap opened up and had enough to hold on by a quarter length. This is a good start to the season for the son of Decima who will no doubt be a contender come November.

2nd The Joker, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Just good form at overnight level he made use of bottom weight by forcing the pace and very nearly held on in a driving finish. His work times since being bought back in November have been very good and his trainer has a way with turf routers so i expect to see him going again at black type level.

3rd Excatly As Planned, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Had the better form of the two stable mates and as he stalked him through the first three quarters of the race you felt it was only a matter of time that he took it up and went away. That didnt happen though and he lost out on second close home.

4th Eastern Townships, trained by Sanny Village
It seemed like this five year old had gotten into this race with a  very winnable weight and i found myself waiting for him to zip through late and take the race. That didnt happen though but he ran on into fourth just a length off the winner, a good run but a little light after a great first run for over a year last time out.
