1 Three Lies, trained by NorthernTraderStable

Took up a spot two lengths off the pace through the first quarter mile. Dropped back as they continued down the backstretch and was 5 lengths from the lead through a half mile. Started to make up ground as they entered the turn and was within a length when they hit the top of the stretch. Slowly wore down Island Fire through the stretch and prevailed by a quarter length.

2 Island Fire, trained by Mb Stables

Dropped back to last but then rushed up to take over second about three lengths behind Pip Paris. Started to make up ground as they went around the turn and overtook the leader at the top of the stretch. Fought gamely to the wire but was unable to hold off Three Lies.

3 Proud Luck, trained by Wolfs Den

Sat in last down the backstretch 8 lengths from the front. Was able to rally down the stretch and pass the tiring horses but was never a threat to the top two.

4 Pip Paris, trained by Calia Stable

Went straight to the front and quickly opened a three-length lead. Set a leisurely pace through 6 furlongs but her lead started to dwindle as they went around the turn. Tired badly down the stretch and finished a well beaten fourth.

Summary

Well this one went pretty much like we called it in the preview with Pip Paris going out to the lead and getting run down by Three Lies and Island Fire. Three Lies looked impressive in winning closing strongly into a slow pace and I imagine we will see her at this distance again as it appears to be her best. Island Fire ran a nice race and I am sure will get another shot in a stakes race. Pip Paris was probably the most disappointing as she set slow fractions but still tired badly.
