1  Silk Tree    Alydar Stables    Alvarado J
A game maiden winner on debut she has been tested in both her starts since and has proven to be a strong early season type two year old. A determined finish saw her lose out in a photo finish in the Astoria and that good run prompted a start in the Schuylerville last time out. A slightly easier early pace saw her take the lead that day and she kept on well to be beaten under a length in third. If she doesnt run off in the front today and gets a nice sit she is sure to be battling away at the end.

2  Short Skirt Hi Heels   D J C Racing Stables   Garcia Alan
Another that won on debut she was a long way back in The Debutante and although she is working well enough i cant see her turning that form around today.

3  Huzza                 Blushing Meadows   Rosario J
She has taken a more traditional route getting beaten in her first two starts but showing improvement and then breaking through in her third start. She won her maiden nicely but it was a hugely impressive win in her last start that gives her a great chance today. Drawn wide she was taken way back in the Lynbrook and looked to have no chance after a third of the race but made a massive amount of ground off the fast early pace and finished over the top of them to score by a length. Sure to be flying at the end if she does the same in this race we could be celebrating a wonder horse.

4  Made It Through    Mb Stables    Bravo J
Won on debut nicely enough but had all favors in the Lynbrook and had no answer to Huzza’s turn of foot. The fact that she is an on speed type will help her get a better position in this race so with traffic problems she could turn the tables. She has worked like an improver after the Lynbrook and will be a strong fancy being from the powerful Mb Stables.

5  Kaikoura    Smokey Stover    Baze T C
I like this one for two reasons. firstly she is named after one of the most beautiful places in the world and secondly because she looks very good indeed. A standard debut saw her beaten but she improved to win her maiden pretty cosily and then ran a cracker in the Schuylerville when only going down by a nose. She was put closer to the pace that day probably due to her draw but todays gate will allow her to take up a slightly more restrained position and that could be enough to see her victorious.

6  Gobekli Tepe    Team 7 Illusions    – Scratch –

7  Jessica Jones    Treaux Farms    Leparoux J R
You cant fault this ones form with two races and two wins but they have both come on an off track and she may need that again today to be competitive. She was very impressive in the Young Memorial last time when drawn out in the car park. Taken back early on she flew home for an impressive win and much like Huzza if she can do it again today she could be all sorts of good. With rain i wont be looking anywhere else for the winner.

8  Snowy Mountain Sam   John Henry    Boulanger G
A game debut winner she was a little one paced in the Debutante and its hard to see past that run’ Her works before and after that race put her in the top three here but works can be misleading and an awkward draw will make it very tough for her.

9  Sound Logic    Sccj Stables    Cancel E
The second unbeaten filly in the field but in contrast she has won both her races on a fast surface. A Game maiden winner on debut she then took the My Dear with another determined run and whilst her works arent so flash she clearly has a big racing heart. A third change of adds in as many races could be a masterstroke or her downfall but she will need to be pretty special to win from this wide gate.

10  Mach Eight    First Class Stable   Franco M
A nice sort but has an uphill task here as she races from the widest draw and has some of the slowest works in the field. Her two races however have been pretty good, a great win on debut was followed up with a solid second in allowance company last time so she comes here with a punchers chance.

SUMMARY
I like Kaikoura for this although i must admit i would love to see Huzza coming with a Zenyetta like late run to take the race and it is very possible indeed. If the rains come then Jessica Jones comes right into it and you can never write off a runner from Mb Stables
