The Taylor Stakes-GI (P3)
WO Race 3 1 1/4M- Turf
Purse $500.000
Three Year Olds and Up Fillies and Mares
Now a field of ten will be lining up for this years Taylor Stakes at Woodbine Race Course and we will be seeing some very good fillies and mares in this race. It’s really one of last big races until the Breeders Cup so the winner could turn around back in three weeks for the Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Turf most likely.
1. Adsila (4-2-0-0 $52.600), trained by Team 7 Illusions
Now here is a filly who has really blossomed this year in her two starts and she has won two races in a row going a mile and a half and then in stakes race last going a mile and an eighth. She made every pole a winning one that day and her speed could be dangerous in this race also.
2. On The Straight (24-12-5-2 $562.290), trained by Mb Stables
Here is a filly right here that I think has a pretty good shot really and I think she can win this race if she really runs a big race. She has been knocking on the door in her last couple of grades stakes tries but she hasn’t been able to get the job done. If she runs a big race she has a good shot to win.
3. Devil Wears Prada (48-13-8-8 $2,615.780), trained by Axeman
The old classy mare is coming right back to Woodbine even after her very bad finish last out here. She is definitely a very classy mare and I know that last out was just a clunker. I think if she gets back to her form that she was in before her last out she could definitely win and she’ll be tough.
4. Chai Mission (16-3-4-3 $359.680), trained by Maxmillion Farm
Now this filly right here is sort of an inconsistent type of horse as she didn’t run good three back and then won by eleven lengths two back and then ran no so great last time mainly because she got beat by eight lengths. If this is one of her good races I can definitely see her having a chance.
5. Smokin Nebulae (21-5-6-3 $921.000), trained by Drabfantasy
Here’s another one of the old classy mares in the field and she is also a very good one. A win in this race could push her over one thousand dollars in career earnings. I think she is very capable and she could definitely win if she could run her best race. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she won this race.
6. Wednesday (19-7-6-1 $429.800), trained by Fractious
Now here is a pretty consistent filly for sure she almost never runs a bad race but it happens every once in a while with her. She did win last time and it was a nice win by a neck. She ran a very good race that day and if she runs like she did that day she definitely has a chance in this spot.
7. I Justwantthe Purple (18-3-7-3 $413.570), trained by Gdp Inc
Right here is a grade one placed runner and she is a pretty good filly on her best day. Believe it or not I think her last race was too short for it and I think this extra eighth of a mile will help her out substantially. She likes to come from way back usually so if she runs a big race and the pace is hot watch out.
8. Ghost Runner (25-5-7-2 $1,554.800), trained by Sizing Europe Lodge
A very good mare right here and she has been to a lot of the big dances before and has ran good in some very big races. She usually likes to go to the front and try to go wire to wire and she is usually pretty good in her races when she does that. She has tried to run from behind and it’s been a decent tactic before.
9. Harsh (13-3-1-3 $196.630), trained by Mb Stables
The second of three runners from Mb Stables like usual when there is a big race on the line. Just by the looks of the form this definitely looks like his third stringer in the race but I do think she has the potential to win if she runs the best race of her life. She will have to fun the race of her life to win.
10. Good Line (16-7-4-1 $2,337.000), trained by Mb Stables
And finally the last of the three runners from Mb Stables and this is definitely one of the big guns and I’d say probably the best of the three that he has entered. This filly definitely has a great chance to win if she runs like she always does. She has a very good chance to win this race.
Summary
Now this is definitely a good field right here and there is definitely some very nice fillies and mares in here that are going to be ready. I really haven’t found who I want to be my top pick but I think I am going to go with Good Line. She is very consistent and always runs good. Good luck to everyone.
