1st Mojave Rattler Mo Mentum Farm Lezcano J

The off track and an easy early lead certainly suited this gelding who ran a very intelligent race by letting the wide gate speed push unwind on the runner up and not contesting and then easily pulling away from him later on. This was a solid performance and he is certainly up to a small grade three down the line especially as the three year old weight allowance comes in from now on in the stakes races.

2nd Unamerican Joshua Stables Cancel E

The wide gate speed push kicked in after this one started slowly and that extra effort certainly told late on. In the circumstances this was a good effort and the first two were very dominant.

3rd Rampart Clutch D J C Racing Stables DeCarlo C P

Didnt really make much impression on the first two but won the race for third well enough. I am not sure he was inconvenienced by the off track so this was a pretty average performance in the end and i wonder whether gelding him will improve his concentration and enthusiasm.

4th Confined Mb Stables Franco M

Whilst gelding can help some this one was certainly still feeling the scar and ran a pretty poor race considering he was proven on this sort of off track. I have no idea why he ran so badly but he will need to step up next time after this disappointment.
