The feature event at EMD was here today and the weather came back perfect as these 4 horses entered the starting gate. The public had put its money behind 2 horses in this race, Roxys Triple Crown and Comedy Castle. As the gates sprung open all of the horses came out well but Chrystal Wizard pushed his way forward to an almost length and ¾ lead by the 2 furlong mark into the race in 24 seconds flat. Roxys Triple Crown was sitting in 2nd place and Comedy Castle was in a clear 3rd. Halfway through the race the running order had not changed but Chrystal Wizard had opened up his lead on the rest of the field as he quickened up a bit running the half mile in 47 and 2. Roxys Triple Crown was still in 2nd but the lead was 3 lengths and Comedy Castle was just behind Roxys Triple Crown. When the horses hit the 6 furlong mark the running order had not changed at all and Chrystal Wizard was still on the lead but he appeared to be getting a little bit tired and was hoping to hold off the charge of Roxys Triple Cown and Comedy Castle who had slightly cut into his lead. It was going to be a mad dash for the wire. In this dash to the wire Roxys Triple Crown started his best running but he came up just short as the wire got their just in time for Chrystal Wizard with Comedy Castle running 3rd.
