| Lullaby Maker Tf, trained by Team 7 Illusions and sent off as the 13/1 second-longest shot on the board, made every call a winning one and has proven to be one smart purchase as she remains undefeated for the sharp trainer and now has a GI under her belt – she smoked the field in The Personal Ensign (GI) in the early goings and hung on to win by a half-length in a final time of 1:48.38 for the mile and an eighth. Post time favorite A Class Angie was second and Sinissippi Delite completed the healthy $331.60 trifecta, the race run over a fast track here in Saratoga NY.
The nine ladies got away in good order with Lullaby Maker Tf firing away quickly, Kentucky Fried Chick from the rail, Ambient next to that one Sinissippi Delite from the middle of the pack, Barbies Corvette next to that one, Chilling King from the far outside, A Class Angie and Devil Wears Prada was the early trailer. They made the short run to the clubhouse turn and now moving around that turn, seven furlongs to run and Lullaby Maker Tf showing the way by two lengths. Ambient between horses, Kentucky Fried Chick from the rail, Sinissippi Delite towards the outside. A gap of two back to a wall with Barbies Corvette from the rail, Chili King four wide, Devil Wears Prada along side that one, and A Class Angie was now the trailer, six lengths covered them. Now making their way down the backside and past the half-mile marker as they neared the far turn, it was still Lullaby Maker Tf showing the way by three lengths. Ambient still between Kentucky Fried Chick from the rail, Kinissippi Delite on the outside, then a gap of two back to Devil Wears Prada three wide, A Class Angie between horses, Barbies Corvette on the rail and Chili King dropped back to trail, eight lengths from the leader. Swing around the far turn and to the top of the lane, just three-sixteenth’s of a mile to run and Lullaby Maker Tf was in front by three and looking strong! The trio behind her hadn’t changed a big – Ambient between horses, Kentucky Fried Chick on the rail, Sinissippi Delite on the outside, then a gap of two back to A Class Angie who was swinging out, winding up and picking up momentum. Barbies Corvette on the rail behind that earlier trio, Devil Wears Prada five wide and Chili King need to get going to be any parts of this one. Inside the final sixteen and to the finish, looking a bit tired but comfortably in front, A Class Angie continuing her kick and the only one with a shot at the leader, but this was all about A Class Angie and she went under the wire in front by a half length. A Class Angie was a hard closing second, a length in front of Sinissippi Delite. Kentucky Fried Chick was fourth, then a tiring Ambient in fifth. Barbies Corvette was sixth, Chili King in seventh and Devil Wears Prada stopped late to be last of eight. Lullaby Maker Tf is a 3yo black filly by Megalomaniac – Maid Of New Orleans by Eviction Notice, and she was bred in New York by Two Field Stables. Acquired by private sales for $150.770, she now has five wins from eleven starts, and as mentioned, remains undefeated for Team 7 Illusions, now showing $716.480 in lifetime earnings. |
