Welcome back to PRX where on Monday the ninth running of the GIII Turf Monster Handicap. We had a field of four for this one so lets take a peek on how the race broke down.

Winning the GIII Turf Monster Handicap was Quasi Normal. 7/1 on the tote board for this years Turf Monster as he came into this one off a sixth place finish here at PRX when running in the GIII PRX Sprint finishing a length behind with Pablo Fragaso. Getting a rider switch today to Inoel Beato the two wasted no time at the sound of the bell getting away to lead by a clear length, as the two hit the top of the straightaway still with a length advantage Inoel went to the stick looking to get grab the wire to wire score and the two did. They held off the others in this one by a quarter lengths. The five furlongs on the sod went in :56.35 and owner Night Rider Stables grabbing a check for $180.000.

2) T S Friday ~ *1.20 the post time favorite for the Turf Monster was shipping in from the spa where he was a winner by a neck in the $100.000 Troy. Looking to repeat that effort here at PRX owner and breeder Triple K used Pablo Fragaso in the saddle once again. Out and away last of the four and just sitting three lengths from leader Quasi Normal, as he made his way into the lane Pablo went to work as he looked to catch the leader, but ran out of running room coming up short by a quarter of a length. The run gets owner Triple K a check for $72.000.

3) Shoot And Hope ~ 5/1 and makes his way into this off a score at Saratoga where he beat oclm for $80.000. Now trying to make it two in a row and shipping here to PRX was away second at the break and just a length behind Quasi Normal, as he came into the straightaway Jesus Castanon tried to get him going, but he just did not have it today running under the line third of the four. He went out for owner Maxmillion Farm

4) Swamp Fox ~ 1.25 and a third in this years GII Fourstardave at Saratoga over a yielding race course owner Blushing Meadows was hoping for a better run here at PRX over the firm turf course. Away third at the break, as he came into the stretch run with Emma Jane Wilson the two never got closer than fourth.

This is Choppy I am OUT!
