1st Poker In The Rear, trained by Axeman

All races on the card this day at Sunland were either one by horses on the lead or barely off the lead and the pedestrian like fractions definitely helped this horse out a lot. They walked on the front end but he had to have a lot of heart to hang on for the win. The final time was 1:36.67 and he got $40.000 for the win.

1st Lil Pink Panther, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy

All races on the card this day at Sunland were either one by horses on the lead or barely off the lead and the pedestrian like fractions definitely helped this horse out a lot. He and the other winner of the dead heat battled courageously all the way and neither gave an inch to the other. He also earned $40.000 for the win.

3rd Inoubliable, trained by T Boy Racing

I am not disappointed in this horses run at all as he was never more than a length off the lead but with those ultra slow fractions there was not much of a chance for him to close late. He ran very well and I have him pointed at the NM Breeders Derby for his next start.

4th Heza Storm, trained by Greeko Holdem

A good run from this horse also to get fourth and there was just no way for him to close into the slow pace from how far back he was early on. He ran pretty well and at least got up for fourth. If I was a betting man I’d say he will also end up in the NM Breeders Derby.

Summary

A very favoring front running track bias and pedestrian like fractions were definitely the case in all of the races today at Sunland but give it up to the two winners for battling it out the entire way and neither one of them gave an inch. Congratulations to Lil Pink Panther and Hawaiian Shirt Guy and also Poker In The Rear and Axeman.
