Looks like they are shaking this one up a bit, moving her over to the turf course for the first time, and they picked a salty place to do it. She won a $25.000 claimer two back, but does have a couple of decent stakes efforts to her credit. She will need her best here today, and unless the change of surface gets her attention, it may be a long day at the office.
Her last win was over the KEE grass back in April, taking the Appalachian (GIII) of that sprint afternoon. She has been on the board in five of her six seasonal efforts and a bunch of those have been vs. black-type ladies. She should be a big factor in this one as well.
Her last win came back in March out on the left-coast, but here’s another that has a bunch of big efforts vs. black-type horses, including a couple of nice runs in GI company. This may be a better spot for her and I’d give her a big look today.
Won the Beverly D (GI) two back and just missed in the Sandy Point (GII) at BEL last out. Equal weights here makes this a VERY appetizing spot to run and her class, ability to stalk or close, and overall ability certainly makes her the one to beat here today.
She had a five race win streak snapped when facing graded horses for the first time, and she was closing quickly in that one, only getting beaten a length… and she was going two-turns for the first time in a long time. This is an acid test, but she may have what it takes to be a big horse.
Bit of a disappointment last out when sixth in the Sandy Point (GII). She looked great winning the DMR Oaks (GI) after the change of barns, but she has thrown in the occasional bounce-race every once in a while. I don’t know if she can win this but I think she could be around for a minor portion.
