1st Franke, trained by Australia Wide

Earning her first graded stakes win of her career right here and she beat a pretty tough field to do it. She came from next to last and barely got up by a head. She ran the mile in 1:33.34 and earned $120.000 for the win.

2nd Illustrious Cat, trained by Chili King Stables

A very good runner up finish from this filly here as she closed well and was just beaten in the final strides. She ran very good to only get beat a head and she should go on to have a very good rest of the year I think.

3rd La Terrifiant, trained by Our Athletes

Not the best race of her career but she did not run terrible either only getting beat by a quarter of a length by two pretty good fillies. I think she is just getting geared up for the rest of the year and the bigger races down the road.

4th Fomalhaut, trained by John Henry

A tough trip for this filly from the outside draw as she was pretty much forced to be right up on the pace. She was even on the lead when they turned for home but she was spent and couldn’t hold off the top three in the final stages.

Summary

There is a new filly on the block in the turf division here as Franke went on to score her first graded stakes win in this race. She won nicely and showed some guts to win. Congratulations to Franke and Australia Wide.
