Three Year Olds

1. Hang Around (11-2-1-3 $162.990), trained by Mb Stables

First up in the field here is this runner here and he is coming into this race off of a third in the grade three Lang on Preakness weekend. He should fit very well into this spot and should have a very good chance to win.

2. Czechoslovakia (9-2-0-0 $99.000), trained by Nj Vets

And now to this horse who is not in very good form pretty much since his last win. He has not been running awful but he can’t even get into the money. He is probably going to be a long shot to win this spot.

3. Parti People (6-1-0-1 $47.000), trained by Night Rider Stables

It seems the geld did this horse a lot of good because he ran a very respectable third in his last start which was the Gold Fever at Belmont. He ran well that day and if he improved a little bit off that win he should be tough in here.

4. Master Puppet (7-2-1-0 $64.400), trained by Estero Farms

Quick turnaround for this one as he was bought just six days ago out of the auction. He is coming into this in good form with some nice runs against tough competition. If he runs true to form he will be very tough in this race.

5. Last Scout (8-3-1-1 $101.600), trained by John Henry

A stakes winner already on the year here and he won the Hutcheson at Gulfstream. He was off until the Lang where he did not run well but he should come back to this level and have a good chance.

6. Portland (8-2-1-0 $69.870), trained by Big V Stables

Next up another stakes winner on the year and he won the Auburn at Emerald Downs in his last start. He cruised that day and should come into this race with a full head of steam. Should have a decent chance to win.

7. Processed (4-1-0-2 $33.550), trained by Mb Stables

The other Mb Stables runner in the field and he made his stakes debut in the Roar in his last start and ran a good third. Still lightly raced and is still on the improve most likely. Could hit the board for sure.

8. Carnoustie (7-5-1-0 $140.610), trained by Smokey Stover

A win machine here as he had only ever had one bad race in his entire career so far. He likes to win and should be able to hang with these for sure so he is going to be my top pick in here.

9. Cp Midnight Pains (7-2-2-1 $103.440), trained by Childs Play

Final runner in the field here and he is coming into this race off of a narrow defeat in a statebred stakes race at Evangeline. He has a bad post and he will have a tough trip to make out.

Summary

A pretty decent field here and there are some pretty nice runners marked up in the field. My top pick is the win machine Carnoustie to take them on in here. Good luck to all in the field.
