The Bold Ruler (GIII)
$200.000    3yo &Up    7f    Dirt

1
 Swamp Fox  Blushing Meadows  Lopez C C       3/1 119

It’s been a while since this one has seen the main track – he’s been a lawn type for quite a while, but hasn’t won in quite a while either.  I guess the idea is to give him a shot on the main track and see if that gets him back on track, so to speak.  He shows nice morning gallops on the dirt, so there’s no reason not to think that he won’t be ok in this one.

2
Montalcino  Alabarda Stable  Garcia Mar      6/1 119

Sent him two turns in his most recent where he backed up a tad down the lane to be fourth at MTH.  If he can run back to that race in the Levine Memorial at PRX, then he certainly could be part of this one.  A rain shower wouldn’t make him mad either.

3
Roxys Triple Crown  Aer Stables  Franco M      9/1 118

Cuts back in distance and I think that may be exactly what this one is looking for.  Was a narrow miss second in the Longacre (GIII) at EMD, but tired in both races around that one, and both were at longer distances.  The three pound 3yo weight break is nice as well… he may have some odds.

4
 Teased  D J C Racing Stables  Arroyo A S      5/1 121

I’m not sure what happened in that last out adventure…  he’s been the absolute picture of consistency all year, and then just pitched a dud out of nowhere.  I’m going to guess that was just a bounce and that he gets back to normal here today… if not, then it’s a long afternoon and maybe some time off.

5
Royal Redeemer  Maxmillion Farm  Carmouche K    4/1 118

Sold back in July and has been on the board in every race since, including a nice closing third in the Gallant Bob (GIII) at PRX, and I think you may see a few from that race down at KEE this weekend.  He just broke maiden before that stakes effort, so this one still has some work to do, but he certainly looks to be a good one.

6
 Salt Lake City  Boomtown  Velasquez C H     7/2 119

It’s been an interesting year to say the least for this one… he won the Rebel (GII) and pressed the pace through much of the KYD (GI) but only has three starts since May, an no wins.  He actually faced older horses when third in the General George (GIII) at LRL back in Feb, so this could be a place for him to get back on track.

7
 Mojoboa  Ekli Stable  Luzzi M J     3/1 121

Closed well to be third on the KEE turf last out in the Shadwell Mile (GI) and that was a classy bunch of horses.  Always has a late turn of foot, so the post and his trip will explain the afternoon for this one.  If he can get a pace to run at and miss the traffic jam, look out.
