Axeman managed to nose out Mb Stables in this race a feat which seems almost impossible these days. Here is how they finished:

1st Awesome Return Axeman Hernandez R M

The draw has been kind to this one recently and this home bred gelding took advantage of the rail to nail the front runner after doing no work early on. Making his own room when he needed it he ran on strongly to grab the win. This stable has been in goof form this year and will hope this one ends up half as good as his stable companion Shadow Man.

2nd Whatd You Say Mb Stables Court J K

It look like this horse had stole another one for the stable after he worked really hard from the wide gate to build what looked like an unassailable lead. Failing by just a nose you would have to say this was a very good performance from this draw probably aided by a change of tactics which saw it change it running style.

3rd After Market Fractious Stein J

Flew home for third and looks to be crying out for the mile.

4th Jar Head Oquinn Farm Contreras L

Sat in a loose stalk and looked to be ready to pounce but never really did. Fourth in the end this was a little disappointing after her last win which saw her go through the six furlong mark much faster than she did today. Hopefully this is just a learning curve for the gelding.
