She’s been tough as nails this season, winning six of eight starts and her only recent blemish was a fast closing fifth in the Canadian Stakes (GII), but she bounced back nicely from that to win the QEII (G1) in very quick time over the KEE lawn. This is a tough bunch of horses but she’s shown that she has a ton of talent and could be in front at the end of this one.
She was seventh on BC Day on the grass but certainly not a bad effort. She was the post time favorite, so there’s no doubt that she is a very respected turf mare. Two wins from seven seasonal starts, but she may be adding to that total today.
Was sixth in the BCFM Turf (GI) and she tired that afternoon. She has a trio of wins and a matching set of runner-up finishes this season, and has put some good horses to bed with her tactical speed. She is certainly not a horse to be overlooked in this one.
Has been on the board in all eight of her seasonal starts, including five wins and a near miss second in the First Lady (GI) at KEE back in early Oct. She may not have quite as much seasoning as some of these, but she certainly has been salty when she needs to be. Don’t overlook this one.
Was fourth on BC Day on the turf and she’s been a very consistent filly this season. Three wins from her eleven starts but she’s nearing $1,000.000 in earnings this year, so you know she’s very aware of where the checks are handed out. If she can avoid traffic and get a clear run at them late, she could be dangerous.
One at first asking for the new barn after being sold for $500.000, but it’s been a tough road since then. that win in the DMR Oaks was over this strip so maybe the home-cooking will do her some good. I may have to look at some others, but I won’t be surprised if she pulls off the win.
Had her four-race win-streak snapped when fourth in the Canadian (GII) but that extra furlong may be a bit more than she wants. The flat mile seems to be her favorite place, and that win in the Mabee (GII) going a mile and an eighth over this track may be her best race to date. The post did her no favors and she picks up weight for age as well.
