Whilst the rest of the runners were looking like they were on the old race engine this rejuvenated eight year old was racing in a world of his own. Stalking early once he was allowed his head he pulled away from the others and looked in a class of his own. He is looking better than ever as an eight year old and who is to say he can’t improve on his fourth in the BC last year especially when you consider he did this today carrying a penalty.

2nd Just Chillin          Nakamura Stables             Bahen S R

Came from a way back to grab second but never got near the winner, this was a decent effort though and if he can avoid Raj Action Packed in future i am sure he will win his share of these long distance races.

3rd Lord City           Our Athletes             McCarthy T

Did well from a wide gate and was much improved after an awful run in the Tropical Turf. He is another who needs these extreme trips and with a bit more luck of the draw he may find a good win this year

4th Shimoon Chai            Martyparty              Stein J

The race engine was looking a bit like the old one today with the wide draws going forward and weakening or back and arriving too late. This one went back and arrived late but the winner was home before he really got going. This was a nice improvement on his form to date.
